This Great Graphic comes from The Economist. The graph to the far left is who the Economist Intelligence Unit anticipates to be the fastest growing economies this year. Three countries that are included seem surprising, Libya, Iraq and Mozambique.
The chart to near left shows the countries expected to see the sharpest contractions. What is surprising is the with a couple of exceptions they are in the euro zone. The periphery is with the notable exception of Ireland. The Netherlands is the only core country that was included.
The fact that Iran is on the right hand would suggest the sanctions are biting. It puts the Iranian government in a vulnerable position as the show down over its nuclear development approaches (March-April).
