This Great Graphic was posted on SGW Blog by Jonathan Taylor. He says he got the map from Alexandr Trubetskoy. As Taylor explains, it is not exactly who is receiving more education, but Turbetskoy charts is which generate has more years of expected education in their country.
The data was taken from the CIA World Factbook and UN data. In the US, Canada, Australia, most part of South America and Russia women are expected to have more education than men, on average. There are notable exceptions, such as France, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Japan and the Netherlands, where education levels between genders is reports at equal. The map also seems to suggest that Saudi Arabia has more educated women than men and that in terms of expected education achievement, men and women in Mexico are equal.
