This Great Graphic was posted by Visusal.ly.   It asks and answers if "insects can feed a hungry planet".   It estimates that nearly a third of the world's population eat insects on a regular basis.  Citing an article in Scientific America, is suggests that we might be eating insects, or parts thereof, without know it.  Apparently, in the preparation of some staples, insects may be used by some producers.   Various sources of data are at the bottom of the infographic.
