Canines developed an olfactory sense that is a hundred million times more powerful than a human's. They can smell in stereo, as it were. It appears they can also smell the past, at least for a little while. Dogs can smell the pheromones that animals, including humans, produce. Some can detect pregnancies and different types of illnesses.
